clean the maf sensor with some electrical parts or brake parts cleaner. then check the maf sensor connection and maf harness connection. check and clean the cas connection and harness as well. i have had problems with both of these in the past. i had a sheared camshaft-cas pin which in turn did not allow my cas to spin and would rev up once, but would not respond until it went back to idle. with the maf unplugged or inop, upon revving, your rpms maybe limited to 2500 or 3500.
